Hannah & The Heartbreak are a London based band originally formed by the collaboration of Hannah Bristow, lead singer and songwriter with a collection of musician friends based around her ‘living in’ warehouse in the Manor House area of north London.
Hannah & The Heartbreak then developed a loyal and sizable following on the London circuit in venues such as The Bull & Gate, 229 Club, Upstairs at Ronnie Scotts, Floripa, The Proud Galleries to name but a few. They also ran a Saturday night residency called ‘Role Play’at The Finsbury Pub just round the corner from the warehouse scene, this was packed everytime and eventually became a respected venue on the London live music circuit.
HANNAH AND THE HEARTBREAK songs such as ‘The Gate’, ‘Unstuck’ and ‘Role Play’ have been played by BBC INTRODUCING where they received airplay from Gary Crowley on BBC London. ’The Gate’ and Amazing Radio where record plugger Dylan White was listening! He was so blown away by ’The Gate’ that he tracked Hannah down and offered to manage her. Hannah & The Heartbreak debut album entitled ‘Open Heart Surgery’ was released last year to great acclaim!
Hannah travelled west to her Bristol roots where she now lives, gigging locally, accompanied by talented musicians she has met in the area. As the name suggests The Heartbreak is an emotion and not a fixed set of people. Expect great hooks, classic pop ambience and plenty of tunes that will direct those feet to dance!
SWALLOWFALL: Bristol based trip hop band, whose first album was released worldwide on Hadron Records December 2016 and fuses melodic, soulful vocals with guitars and electronica. The critical praise of our recorded work has been matched by compelling live performances including numerous festival appearances and support slots with national touring acts such as The Beat.
ELLIE GOWERS BAND: Ellie yields powerfully quaint songs with thought-provoking mature themes. Ellie has produced her own folk-driven contemporary style. Traces of Katie Melua, John Martyn and Laura Marling creep into her melodies.
2017 was a great year for Ellie. Playing at Coventry’s Godiva festival, airplay on BBC Introducing and the release of her debut EP, ‘Robin’, towards the end of the year. With more music and more gigs in the pipeline, 2018 is set to be even more exciting.
