FRANKLIN MINT: One of Bristol’s rock oddities receiving air play on BBC 6 Radio’s Freak Zone with Stuart Maconie and recently supporting Evil Scarecrow on Tour. Their tales of dark woods, falling bodies and hands like claws are set against a backdrop of, in turns, melodic, wistful and then heavy as uranium rock n metal. A bit like a velvet fist inside an iron glove - to bastardise the old saying . Expect the unexpected as they return to the Thunderbolt for their first headline show.
HIERARCHY: A raucous, bass and drum duo who, not content with re-defining the genre have invented their own. If Seasick Steve fronted The Eagles of Death Metal it still wouldn’t sound as filthy. Recently supported horror metal favourites Jimmy Ringus at The Fleece.
SIRENS OF TITAN: This new heavy Bristol band is made up of some of the Thunderbolt’s most familiar faces who have in previous incarnations sold the place out. This will be the first chance for many to witness the beginning of their Robot Overlord campaign.
