We are delighted  to welcome Jerry Dammers back to the bolt for a DJ set !

Founder of The Specials and 2 Tone Records, Dammers was hugely influential in the 70s and 80s ska revival, achieving seven consecutive UK top 10 singles between 1979 and 1981, including number ones “Ghost Town” and “Too Much Too Young”. An anti-apartheid campaigner, Dammers wrote the song “Free Nelson Mandela”, and went on to receive a South African national honour in April 2014 for his role in the movement. Regularly taking his legendary record collection on the road and DJing around the country, Dammers is currently heading up The Spatial AKA Orchestra, playing his own compositions as well as tributes to Sun Ra and other experimental jazz artists.

Shoot the Moon are a seven piece Ska/ Reggae band from Bristol (UK) who travel to venues all around the country in a beaten up, old van delivering high energy, musical madness to the party people.
Combining funky rhythms and solid drum grooves with driving and melodic brass and vocal hooks, they create an intense, unique sound big enough to rock any stage.

In the past three years they have stormed onto the festival circuit and have featured on main stages at Glastonbury, Bestival and Boomtown as well as a sold out UK tour in 2014.
Their new single ‘Shipwreck’ will feature on the band’s debut album, set to be on sale in the summer of 2015.

This music making machine is an unstoppable force that bring a fresh, charismatic and upbeat experience not to be missed.
