We welcome Bristol thrash metal rockers DETRITUS to the Thunderbolt for a reunion show! They have recently reformed and will play together for the 1st time in 26 years!

The band's career started in a small club under a Bristol pub in March 1989. In less than a year the group - Mark Broomhead (18), lead vocals and bass: Andrew Neal (18), guitar; Paul Newington Wise (18), guitar and Andy Bright (17), drums - had won a 'Battle Of The Bands' at the Bristol Bierkeller,Bristol's biggest rock club and had been described by Andy Fox. Manager of the Beirkeller as "the best metal band to come out of Bristol in the last two and a half years." Plenty of hard gigging followed, playing support to metal bands like Acid Reign, Slammer, and eventually a full UK tour with Lawnmower Deth. Detritus signed  to Edge and released their debut "Perpetual Defiance" through Under One Flag  which showed great promise and got the band a lot of attention. Their second, " If But For One" on Kingsway/R.E.X. Records. showed a complete upgrade in song-writing and maturity. Varied and expansive, this album is seen as a masterpiece by a number of metal aficionados. Tossing aside the by-the-numbers thrash, Detritus catapulted into one of metal's most innovative outfits, ever.

The Thunderbolt show will be a chance for the band to publicise the 2019 Retroactive Records Legends Remastered CD reissue which features 21 total tracks including 9 bonus tracks from the impossible-to-find pre-IBFO demo, all digitally remastered by Rob Colwell of Bombworks Sound, and packaged in a 12 page booklet with band pics and lyrics in a jewel case to protect it all.  The 2019 reissue features the original U.K. released artwork, preferred by the band. Limited edition 500 CDs! Also available on limited edition black Vinyl for the first time ever (300 Unit Pressing). Get both CD and Vinyl while you can! For fans of Voivod (Killing Technology era), Believer, Tourniquet, Seventh Angel, Celtic Frost and most definitely, Metallica!!
